About

We are a small Farm Shop & Cafe on the Yorkshire Coast

Redcliffe Farm Shop est. 2007

The Farm Shop has a Butchery Counter selling meat from our own farm and from other local farms. We stock Eggs from our own farm and have a small bakery where we produce a range of cakes, savouries and pies.

We have regular deliveries of seasonal fresh fruit & vegetables direct from market. In the shop you'll find a range of artisan produce from local and regional supplies, inlcuding... Honey from Flixton, Botham's of Whitby cakes & bisucits (made with our eggs!), Baytown Coffee, Wold Top Beers, Whitby Gin, and many more.

We have a 60 seater cafe where we serve great Breakfasts and Lunches, Coffee & Cakes.

Our family have been Farmers and Butchers for at least the last seven generations, scroll down for a bit of our more recent history at Redcliffe Farm...

This is our Grandad, Herbert Brown. He bought Redcliffe Farm in 1960. He hadn't moved far as he had just sold High Killerby Farm at Cayton Bay, which then became Wallis's Camp (now Park Resorts Cayton Bay) - This picture shows Grandad with his state of the art milk cooler in 1961, he's standing in the same spot that is now our Coffee Lounge.

In the early 70's our Dad, David Brown moved us all back to the farm. He spent the 70's and 80's expanding our egg production and wholesale business - We still sell thousands of boxes of eggs every week around Scarborough, Bridlington, Teeside and North Yorkshire

For the last 20 years (or more) we've been running the egg business and Farm Shop (which we opened in 2007). We are: Daniel & Martin Brown. Daniel spends most of his time with the egg business and Martin can be normally found in and around the Farm Shop. This picture is the only one available of when we used to do farm work together, it's taken in the old farmyard, which is now the cafe garden...
